Paris-based, French artist Mademoiselle Maurice likes to turn the streets into colourful, urban installations through the medium of origami. Having grown up in the mountains of Haute-Savoie (France), Mademoiselle Maurice studied architecture in Lyon, but after living for a year in Japan, she became inspired and saw origami as a method to create stunning artistic creations. Her latest work, as part of the 2013 ARTAQ Festival in Angers, saw over 30,000 folded origami pieces put into position on walls and a stairwell leading to Montée St-Maurice in the French city.
